Weather permitting, Monday, September 27, 2010, the contractor is scheduled to place the first (of two) lift of asphalt in the cul-de-sacs. All vehicles must be removed from the cul-de-sacs between 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Parking is available on Rugen, Lindenwood, Springdale and Knollwood during daytime work hours.

After the cul-de-sac paving is complete, the contractor will begin paving the first (of two) layer of asphalt in the driveways and pouring concrete driveway aprons. Residents with concrete driveway aprons will need to park on the street for 4 or 5 days while the concrete cures. The contractor is scheduled to construct the concrete sidewalk on the east side of Pfingsten mid- to late next week. Residents with sidewalks through their driveways shall also need to park on the street or cul-de-sac for 4 or 5 days also. The contractor will notify residents that need to have their vehicles moved out for concrete work.

All work is weather dependent.

The contractor finished paving the hot-mix asphalt binder course (which is the 1st of 2 lifts of new asphalt) on Pfingsten this week. The contractor has also installed the first lift of hot-mix asphalt for some of the driveway aprons on Pfingsten. The contractor will continue with pavement removal and preparing the aggregate base course in the cul-de-sacs off Pfingsten this week and into next week. Paving of the cul-de-sacs is estimated to begin next Thursday and Friday.

The contractor is finishing pavement removal on Pfingsten this week. The contractor will continue to prepare the aggregate base course on Pfingsten this week and into early next week. The contractor is scheduled to start paving the hot-mix asphalt binder course on Pfingsten as early as Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning, which will take an estimated 2 to 3 working days (weather permitting). After the asphalt binder course is paved on Pfingsten, the contractor will start pavement removal on the cul-de-sacs off Pfingsten.

Storm sewer installation is 100% complete! The contractor began saw cutting the pavement for removals, which should start next week. They plan to start pavement removal on the north end and proceed south. Curb replacements are also being completed.
