Water services are nearing completion. The schedule is to complete all water services by the end of next week. Then the final connections will be made to the water mains on the side streets, to create one big loop. This will be the end of all water main shutdowns! The contractor will be working this Saturday to continue water service installations.

After the water main work is complete, storm sewer installation will commence.

All water main MAIN LINE is complete! The contractor is now working on water services. Due to the number of houses along Pfingsten, this process will take us until the end of June. As stated before, during the connection of each house, the service to that individual house must be shut off for a matter of a couple hours. The contractor has done very well in informing each house when the water will be shut off. In cases where the BBox is located in the driveway, it is necessary for the contractor to dig in the driveway to make the connection to the existing water service. In this case, the contractor is also notifying these residents that cars should be moved out of the driveway if they are needed. Once all the services are completed, final connections will need to be made at the ends to create a full loop in the water main.

Once all water main work is completed, the contractor will begin work on the new storm sewer.

Thank you to all for your patience!

PFINGSTEN ROAD CLOSED AT GLENVIEW ROAD NEXT WEEK

New water main needs to be installed across Pfingsten Road on the north side of Glenview Road. Due to this work, the access into and out of Pfingsten Road will be blocked from 7 AM to 5 PM on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Detour signs will be posted, directing traffic to Bette Lane. Glenview Road WILL NOT BE CLOSED, however the contractor may have to block one lane of traffic on Glenview Rd during this time as well. Flaggers will be present to help direct traffic through the one open lane. Please exercise extreme caution during this work, as well as always along Pfingsten. We appreciate your cooperation. The Police and Fire Departments, Park District and Garbage Company have all been notified of this closure.
