The contractor will be finishing up installing the storm sewer connections to the side streets and cul-de-sacs Monday and Tuesday next week and spend a couple of days doing cleanup work in preparation for pavement removal. Weather permitting, pavement removal should start around the middle of next week. The contractor will start at the north end of the project taking out the pavement along the main stem road of Pfingsten. Once this is complete he will put down the first layer of asphalt and then move to the cul-de-sacs for pavement removal.

The storm sewer mainline along Pfingsten Road has been completed! The contractor will take a few days completing the storm sewer into the cul-de-sacs. Road removal and preparation should begin the first week of September. This will involve removing the existing roadway and then preparing the base for asphalt. The contractor plans to remove Pfingsten Road first, before doing any of the cul-de-sacs.

The storm sewer installation continues! Not much new there, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of the water main installation.

Storm sewer installation is continuing on the mainline from the north. NICOR Gas will be onsite sometime in the next week or two to lower a few gas lines that are in conflict with our new storm sewer.
