The strike was resolved this week and new contracts between the unions and contractors have been signed and are in effect. The contractor resumed work this week!
The final water main connections are being made, and then the old main will be shut off and abandoned forever. Once all these connections are complete, the contractor will begin work on the new storm sewer system. The storm sewer main will be placed on the east side of the road, under our new sidewalk. At numerous locations, a lateral pipe will go across the road to the west side into catch basins, inlets and culverts to carry the water from the west side into the main and lines will be extended to drain the cul-de-sacs.
